2 Timothy 4:7-8 ~ I Have Fought the Good Fight

I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the course.  I have kept the faith.

I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the course.  I have kept the faith.

In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,

which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day.

And not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the course.  I have kept the faith.

I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the course.  I have kept the faith.

I have kept the faith.  I have kept the faith.

How Firm a Foundation ~ Hymn #275

How firm a foundation, Ye saints of the Lord, is laid for your faith in His excellent word!

What more can He say than to you He hath said, to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

Fear not, I am with thee; O be not dismayed, for I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;

I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

When through fiery trials Thy pathway shall lie, My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply:

The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine.

The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose I will not, I will not desert to its foes;

That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, I'll never, no, never, no, never forsake!

Knowing You

All I once held dear, built my life upon, all this world reveres and wars to own,

All I once thought gain, I have counted loss; spent and worthless now compared to You.

Chorus:  Knowing You, Jesus, knowing You; there is no greater thing.

You're my all.  You're the best.  You're my joy; my righteousness.  And I love You, Lord.

Now my heart's desire is to know You more; to be found in You and known as Yours.

To possess by faith what I could not earn; all surpassing gift of righteousness.   ~ (chorus)

Oh to know the power of Your risen life and to know You in Your sufferings.

To become like You in Your death, my Lord, so with You to live and never die.   ~ (chorus)

Psalm 59:16, 17 ~ I Shall Sing of Thy Strength

But as for me                              (Women echo: But as for me)

I shall sing of Thy strength           (Women echo: I shall sing of Thy strength)

Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Thy lovingkindness in the morning for Thou hast been my stronghold,

And a refuge in the day of my distress.

~ (repeat section 1)

O my strength                             (Women echo: O my strength),

I will sing                                    (Women echo: I will sing)

Praises to Thee; for God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.

~ (repeat section 2)

A Mighty Fortress is Our God ~ Hymn #26

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing.

Our helper He, amidst the flood of mortal ills prevailing.

For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe.

His craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal.

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing.

Were not the right man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing.

Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He, Lord Sabaoth,

His name from age to age the same, and He must win the battle.

And though this world with devils filled, should threaten to undo us.

We will not fear for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us.

The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him.

His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure.  One little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them abideth.

The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him who with us sideth.

Let goods and kindred go; this mortal life also.

The body they may kill.  God's truth abideth still.  His kingdom is forever.

Offertory: Psalm 55:22,16,17 ~ Cast Thy Burden

Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee.

He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

As for me I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me.

Chorus:  Evening and morning and afternoon will I pray and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.

Let Your Kingdom Come

Your glorious cause, O God, engages our hearts.

May Jesus Christ be known wherever we are.

We ask not for ourselves, but for Your renown.

The cross has saved us so we pray, Your kingdom come.

Chorus: Let Your kingdom come.  Let Your will be done, so that everyone might know Your Name.

Let Your song be heard everywhere on earth, 'til Your sovereign work on earth is done.

             Let Your kingdom come!

Give us Your strength, O God, and courage to speak.

Perform Your wondrous deeds through those who are weak.

Lord use us as You want, whatever the test.

By grace, we'll preach Your gospel 'til our dying breath.  ~ (chorus)
