Since Jesus Came into My Heart ~ Hymn #515

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart!

I have light in my soul for which long I have sought, since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain:       Since Jesus came into my heart, since Jesus came into my heart,

                    Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll, since Jesus came into my heart.

I have ceased from my wand’ring and going astray, since Jesus came into my heart!

And my sins, which were many, are all washed away, since Jesus came into my heart!  ~ refrain

I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know, since Jesus came into my heart!

And I’m happy, so happy, as onward I go, since Jesus came into my heart!  ~ refrain

Text: Rufus H. McDaniel, Music: Charles H. Gabriel 1914

Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus ~ Hymn #477

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross.

Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.

From victory unto victory, His army shall He lead

‘Til every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey.

Forth to the mighty conflict, In this His glorious day.

“Ye that are men, now serve Him” against unnumbered foes;

Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone.

The arm of flesh will fail you - ye dare not trust your own.

Put on the gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer.

Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long.

This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song.

To him that overcometh, a crown of life shall be.

He with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.

Leaning On the Everlasting Arms ~ Hymn #354

What a fellowship, what a joy divine, leaning on the everlasting arms.

What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, leaning on the everlasting arms.  ~ (chorus)

Chorus:        Leaning (leaning on Jesus),         leaning (leaning on Jesus),

Safe and secure from all alarms.

                    Leaning (leaning on Jesus),         leaning (leaning on Jesus),

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how bright the path grows from day to day, leaning on the everlasting arms.  ~ (chorus)

What have I to dread, what have I to fear, leaning on the everlasting arms.

I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, leaning on the everlasting arms.  ~ (chorus)

Lyrics: Elisha Albright Hoffman (1839-1929)  Music: Anthony Johnson Showalter (1858-1924)

Psalm 86:11-12 ~ Teach Me Thy Way, O Lord

Teach me Thy way, O Lord, I will walk in Thy truth.

Unite my heart to fear, my heart to fear Thy Name.

And I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord, my God with all my heart.

And I will glorify Thy Name, O Lord, Thy Name forever more.  ~ repeat song; then ending: 1st 2 lines

Be Thou My Vision ~ Hymn #382

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that Thou art

Thou my best Thought, by day or by night, waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;

Thou my great Father, I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight; be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;

Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower: Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:

Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won, may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s Sun!

Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

O Love That Will Not Let Me Go

O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in Thee;

I give Thee back the life I owe, that in Thine ocean depths its flow, may richer fuller be.

O Light that followest all my way, I yield my flickering torch to Thee;

My heart restores its borrowed ray, that in Thy sunshine's blaze its day may brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to Thee.

I trace the rainbow through the rain and feel the promise is not vain, that morn shall tearless be.

O Cross that liftest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee.

I lay in dust life's glory dead and from the ground there blossoms red, life that shall endless be;

Life that shall endless be. Christopher Miner | George Matheson 1997 Christopher Miner CCLI Song # 3251580 SongSelect Terms of Use.  All rights reserved. CCLI License # 506149

More than Conquerors

When my hope and strength is gone, You're the One who calls me on.

You are the life. You are the fight that's in my soul.

Oh, Your resurrection pow'r burns like fire in my heart.

When waters rise, I lift my eyes up to Your throne.

Chorus:

We are more than conquerors through Christ.  You have overcome this world this life.

We will not bow to sin or to shame.  We are defiant in Your name.

You are the fire that cannot be tamed.  You are the power in our veins.

Our Lord, our God, our conqueror.

I will sing into the night, “Christ is risen and on high.

Greater is He, living in me, than in the world.”

No surrender, no retreat, we are free and we're redeemed.

We will declare over despair, “You are the hope!”  ~ (chorus, then bridge)

Bridge:

Nothing is impossible.  Ev'ry chain is breakable. With You, we are victorious!

You are stronger than our hearts.  You are greater than the dark.

With You, we are victorious!  ~ (repeat, then chorus 3 times)
